Clay, bee wax. Unique
Masha Kolosovskaya created a series of 108 vases in collaboration with Vladimir Kosyak in 2019. 108 stand for the number of beads in her rosary, which she recites daily. Each vase is unique. Masha uses a traditional Russian technique of coating ceramics with milk and re-firing them in the kiln; she then polishes the surface with beeswax. This gives vases the depth of wood and a leathery texture, while keeping the organic aesthetics of nature intact.
