ADH Gallery booth at the Design section reflects the concept and mission of the gallery — to build cultural connections and dialogue between artists and designers, as well as to create a space for their free interaction. The exhibition is structured as a conversation between contemporary art and collectible design, presented in an international format.
Jazz improvisations served as the inspiration for the abstract canvases of British artist Joseph Grahame, created using the technique of patchwork. His large-scale painting “Simultaneously in Two Directions” is a meditation and a search for balance, both in art and in life. The Red Meteorsinstallation by renowned designers Philip Baldwin and Monica Guggisberg from Wales evokes unknown worlds and cosmic spaces, while the refined glass vessels titled Moscow and St. Petersburg are a kind of homage to two of Russia’s main cities.
This dialogue continues in the collectible furniture by Vadim Maltsev. The St. Petersburg designer creates unique pieces at the intersection of design and art. The exhibition features the Vespertilioconsole, whose bionic forms are inspired by the work of Richard Serra, while the design of the L’osselet lamp explores the global question of existentialism, heritage, and its interpretation. The pair of K-21 chairs are an experiment in merging European design with Eastern philosophy, while the MOZHAISKIY bookshelf is inspired by the structures of the first flying machines. The furniture pieces are manufactured at MainPro, a company that not only creates custom joinery and interior solutions of any complexity but also makes bespoke furniture with attention to material and detail.
The exhibition is completed by the sculptures, mirrors, and coffee table by ceramist Daniil Antropov. A young artist, Antropov develops an individual method that combines traditional ceramics with modern industrial textures. In his work, the sculptor explores unconventional methods of form-making, using building mesh, rods, and foam found in the industrial zones of cities or on the street.
The booth at ADH Gallery is more than just an exhibition; it’s a laboratory of ideas, where different forms of art and design intersect, offering visitors a unique space for reflection and interaction.
